Description

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX designers.
  • Establish and enforce a research-informed design process tied to customer insights and behavioral data.
  • Partner with Customer Research to turn usability testing, surveys, session data, and voice-of-customer findings into design direction.
  • Own UX best practices and design standards, including accessibility, information architecture, and interaction design patterns.
  • Represent UX rationale to executive and senior leadership in business terms.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and IT on design solutions aligned to broader strategy.
  • Build a repeatable framework for prioritizing UX initiatives by customer impact and business value.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and timelines across multiple concurrent design workstreams.
  • Champion the integration of AI-driven tools and solutions within the UX team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 10+ years of UX leadership experience, including 2+ years directly managing designers.
  • Demonstrated experience using qualitative and quantitative customer research to drive design decisions.
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end ownership, including research input, design rationale, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience presenting design work and strategy to executive stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools; Figma is required.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Amplitude or similar is a plus.
  • E-commerce experience is strongly preferred.
  • B2B or trade/distribution industry experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills across team-level critique and leadership presentations.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship is available.
  • Remote employees must work in a distraction-free environment.
  • Must travel to the Melville, NY headquarters 6 times per year.
