Description

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX designers while setting standards for design quality and consistency.
  • Establish a research-informed design process grounded in customer insights, usability findings, and behavioral data.
  • Partner with Customer Research to translate qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable design direction.
  • Own UX best practices and design standards, including accessibility, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
  • Present UX strategy and design rationale to executive and senior leadership using business metrics such as conversion, retention, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and IT to align design solutions with broader product and marketing strategies.
  • Create a framework for prioritizing UX initiatives based on customer impact and business value.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and timelines across multiple concurrent design workstreams.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven tools into UX workflows and the customer journey.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 10+ years of UX leadership experience, including 2+ years directly managing designers.
  • Experience designing direct-to-consumer e-commerce experiences and owning conversion-related outcomes.
  • Demonstrated use of qualitative and quantitative customer research to guide design decisions.
  • Strong portfolio showing research input, design rationale, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience presenting design strategy to executive stakeholders and defending decisions with data.
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Excellent communication skills across team-level design critique and executive-level strategy.
  • Experience with large, attribute-heavy product catalogs or B2B/trade distribution is preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Amplitude is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to an eligible state and maintain a distraction-free remote work environment.

  • Base salary of $156,088–$195,110 per year.
  • Remote work with time-zone flexibility and reimbursed travel to Melville, NY, six times annually.
