Description

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and services.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools and applications to improve company operations.
  • Ensure system reliability and optimize application performance while implementing best practices for scalability.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Continuously improve existing codebases by conducting code reviews and implementing modern engineering practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices and apply them where appropriate.
  • When needed, support frontend responsibilities such as designing reusable UI components, collaborating with designers on UI/UX feasibility, and managing site templates or promotional banners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend and/or full-stack development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.
  • Proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of database design and RDBMS concepts, with practical experience writing SQL.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to contribute across the entire software development lifecycle (planning through maintenance).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, ability to write reusable, clean, and maintainable code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Available to work remote from India on the required schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time (12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. IST).
  • Willingness to work in a distraction-free remote environment and to complete background checks; employment via an Employer of Record (Remote.com).
  • Preferred: proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js), plus experience with cross-browser compatibility and frontend performance optimization.
