Description

  • Build and maintain annual budgets and rolling revenue forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis and communicate actionable insights.
  • Track and report SaaS metrics including MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, payback period, and net dollar retention.
  • Prepare leadership reporting, dashboards, and scenario models to support investment and cost decisions.
  • Partner with the CEO, VP of Operations, and department heads on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Serve as the financial voice in leadership and operational meetings.
  • Own the monthly close process and produce accurate financial statements.
  • Manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue, chargebacks, cancellations, and prior-period adjustments under ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
  • Oversee ChargeBee and Stripe billing operations and the flow of subscription data into the general ledger.
  • Manage the bookkeeper, maintain audit readiness, and coordinate annual compliance with external tax advisors.
  • Evaluate and improve financial tools, workflows, controls, and automation opportunities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with meaningful time at a SaaS or subscription business.
  • Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Experience building driver-based models and rolling forecasts from scratch.
  • Track record of using scenario modeling and leadership reporting to drive decisions.
  • Fluency in SaaS and subscription metrics, including MRR/ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, payback, and net dollar retention.
  • Controller-level accounting experience, including monthly close and revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
  • Proficiency with subscription billing platforms such as ChargeBee, Stripe, or Recurly.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
  • Experience in consumer or self-serve subscription models and at startups or high-growth companies under $25M in revenue.
  • Strong English communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders in a fully remote environment.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification, direct ChargeBee experience, and comfort using AI tools for financial analysis are strong pluses.
