Description

  • Build scalable backend systems that can support growth to millions of users.
  • Integrate the platform with third-party systems including payments, accounting, CRMs, and other services.
  • Optimize the GraphQL backend for performance so movers can complete jobs quickly.
  • Create generalized systems for billing, document creation and storage, task workflows, and customer communication.
  • Develop open source frameworks used to build applications consistently and efficiently.
  • Ship code and participate in code reviews.
  • Write architecture documentation and design handoffs.
  • Join product brainstorming and scoping sessions when desired.
  • Participate in design reviews and solution brainstorming when desired.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience at a relevant tech, product-driven company.
  • 1-2 years of experience at an early-stage startup, ideally Seed or Series A.
  • Experience with backend development in Python and Flask.
  • Experience with GraphQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Lambdas, ECS, and DynamoDB.
  • Basic testing experience with end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
  • Strong curiosity, empathy, and customer perspective.
  • Comfort with change and willingness to propose and lead improvements.
  • Belief in the company mission and the importance of improving the moving experience.
