Description

  • Supervise, support, and distribute workloads for a team of remote Billing Associates.
  • Onboard and train billing staff on coding, claims, payer requirements, and internal workflows.
  • Conduct quality audits, provide coaching, and monitor productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Oversee claims submission, coding accuracy, account maintenance, denial follow-up, and payer compliance.
  • Escalate and resolve complex claims, denials, and payer disputes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging, denial trends, and collections performance.
  • Maintain billing workflows, best practices, compliance procedures, and corrective actions.
  • Provide performance reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle and recommend process or staffing improvements.
  • Collaborate with Payment Analysis, Coding, Credentialing, and Care Coordination teams on billing and patient financial issues.
  • Ensure accurate account and balance information in Apero for benefits counseling, statements, inquiries, and payment plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of medical billing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, billing workflows, denial management, and insurance claims.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing remote teams.
  • Experience with private medical practices or outpatient clinics preferred.
  • Sleep Medicine and/or DME billing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Apero or similar practice management and billing software preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CMRS is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and performance-feedback skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities independently in a remote environment.
  • Interest in sleep health and improving patient well-being.

  • $75,000–$90,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
