Description

  • Embed with product teams to guide compliance requirements during design and build phases and support a compliant go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead product governance efforts for FinCRO by documenting requirements and tracking them through implementation.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and product risk assessments for major new product launches and feature expansions.
  • Support the design and implementation of workflows, tooling, and reporting related to compliance.
  • Liaise with Regional Compliance Officers and Money Laundering Reporting Officers to support compliance oversight programs.
  • Educate product and business teams on compliance and regulatory requirements to promote a compliance-by-design mindset.
  • Help build and reinforce a strong culture of compliance across Stripe.
  • Use AI and agentic tools to scale compliance enablement work, including risk assessments, regulatory research, and requirements documentation, while critically reviewing outputs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and managing compliance programs in regulated financial services, preferably in fintech, payments, and banking.
  • Experience evaluating emerging products for compliance risk and partnering with product and business stakeholders to implement compliance solutions.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial crimes/AML practices, with understanding of the compliance landscape relevant to Stripe.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and programs with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and regulatory guidance and apply them to a comprehensive, proportionate compliance program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts to non-compliance audiences.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience working with senior leadership and balancing competing priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore unfamiliar markets, product types, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Genuine interest in financial regulation and responsible innovation in the industry.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including active use of AI tools and agentic workflows to improve the quality, speed, and rigor of compliance work.
  • Experience using AI or agentic tools in a compliance or regulatory context, such as policy drafting, risk assessments, regulatory research, or workflow automation (preferred).
  • Experience with stablecoin, crypto, or emerging payments product compliance (preferred).
  • ACAMS, CRCM, ICA Diploma or Advanced Certificate, or an equivalent certification (preferred).
  • SQL abilities (preferred).
