Description

  • Review and copy edit a wide range of marketing content, including blog posts, guides, reports, infographics, customer stories, emails, web pages, ads, and video transcripts.
  • Apply house style guidelines, preserve voice and tone, remove jargon, and improve clarity, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Continuously update, refine, and clarify the style guide and editorial documentation as standards evolve.
  • Build and maintain AI editing tools and self-serve tools for marketers using Stripe’s internal platform.
  • Improve operational workflows for intake, queue management, service levels, and quality assurance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to help the team move faster and handle increasing review volume.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support high-quality writing and revise Copy Desk processes.
  • Support the broader editorial function by maintaining smooth day-to-day Copy Desk operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a copy editor across multiple channels and content formats.
  • Experience editing content in marketing or other fields.
  • Experience working with diverse teams, including teams with regional considerations.
  • Strong understanding of voice, tone, style, grammar, punctuation, and clear prose.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related field.
  • Passion for copy editing and appreciation for well-written prose.
  • Experience working with creative or design teams (preferred).
  • Experience writing and editing technical content (preferred).
  • Broad understanding of the mechanics and objectives of B2B marketing teams (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau, and project management tools such as Asana and Jira (preferred).
