Description

  • Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand customer needs and decision-making criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Proposals Manager to shape proposal response strategies that highlight IXL’s value proposition.
  • Write persuasive, customer-focused proposal content that communicates differentiators, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Partner with sales, curriculum, product, contracts, security, and other teams to align messaging with buyer priorities.
  • Use district-specific insights, marketing strategies, and persuasive writing techniques to create high-impact proposals.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant and strategically positioned for evaluators and decision-makers.
  • Tailor existing proposal content and develop new material with subject matter experts to support key win themes.
  • Provide copywriting support for sales presentations, sales collateral, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Assist with catalog bids, proposal assembly, and other sales-related writing tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, sales writing, marketing copywriting, or grant writing.
  • Strong ability to craft persuasive, customer-centric messaging.
  • Understanding of sales processes and how to align proposals with sales strategies.
  • Ability to translate technical or educational content into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Strong English writing and grammar skills with an emphasis on quality, clarity, and consistency.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Experience with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience in K-12 education or edtech sales is a plus.
  • Writing samples must be submitted with the resume.
