Description

  • Scope and lead large technical projects, translating business goals into clear technical requirements and execution plans.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable bank integration infrastructure.
  • Work across the stack to create systems that adapt to the availability of banking partners.
  • Enable connectivity for new countries and product use cases.
  • Collaborate with engineers across the company to deliver reliable access to trustworthy banking data.
  • Partner with banks and financial institutions to support connectivity initiatives.
  • Balance short-term needs with long-term roadmap decisions and technical foundations.
  • Mentor and collaborate with engineers and managers to develop future leaders at Stripe.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing and engineering large-scale systems.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Experience leading and shipping complex cross-team projects end-to-end, from scoping and design through production and operations.
  • Comfort working on a new product under fluid conditions.
  • Ability to balance tactical and strategic considerations.
  • Business-impact mindset rather than measuring success by lines of code.
  • High autonomy, responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and earn trust at all levels.
  • Preference for simple, scalable solutions and designs.
  • Strong mentorship orientation and interest in growing engineers.
