Description

  • Lead shop operations including scheduling, workflow, and quality while contributing directly to the shop’s success.
  • Drive sales and revenue through lead follow-up, customer conversions, upsells, and local partnerships.
  • Track and deliver results against monthly sales targets, average repair order (ARO), gross profit, and retention metrics.
  • Work directly with customers by walking the floor, supporting service writing, and building lasting relationships.
  • Ensure prompt, courteous, and customer-centric service across the shop experience.
  • Coach and mentor team members in real time by working alongside them.
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints through Yelp, Google Reviews, and CDC processes (Complaints, Damages & Comebacks).
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, financial transactions, and employee activities.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for management on shop results and key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar role in an auto mechanic shop.
  • Efficiency in Digital Visual Inspections and related procedures.
  • Experience with Autoflow or a similar platform preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Sound knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques, and industry standards.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a similar technical college program.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools lifted above the head, work in tight spaces, and use hand-tools dexterously.
  • Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday and maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles and efficiently navigate a computer.

  • Compensation of $100,000–$120,000 base salary.
  • Potential bonus of $20,000–$30,000 plus 6% profit sharing.
