Description

Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
Lead and manage at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.
Provide mentoring, accountability, coaching, leadership development, training, and performance management for direct reports.
Participate in the development and execution of strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with company priorities.
Ensure adherence to operating standards, systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Build a team environment that supports positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff and other employees.
Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
Provide competency-based feedback and mentor leads and associates.
Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with production planning.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
Support performance metrics related to quality, production, and cost objectives.
Participate in and lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Experience leading and developing associates.
Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high volume and high-quality output.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.
Ability to walk up to three miles each day and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and perform frequent physical activity in varied environmental conditions.
Use of required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Background check required.
