Description

  • Develop state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques for signal detection, classification, and sensor decision making.
  • Lead projects, proposal efforts, and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple STR campuses.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand mission needs and shape technical solutions.
  • Design and apply signal processing and machine learning methods for radar and RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges.
  • Support business development initiatives and lead technical writing efforts.
  • Advise researchers, scientists, and engineers on complex EW and radar programs.
  • Construct proposal and program plans aligned to current and future customer needs.
  • Develop sensor system modes and advanced signal- and data-processing algorithms from derivation through testing and verification.
  • Provide technical briefs to subcontractors, senior executives, and customers.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience based on degree (PhD +5 years or MS +8 years).
  • Experience on EW or radar programs, including sensor system mode development and advanced signal/data processing algorithm development.
  • Experience with mathematical or analytical derivation, testing, and verification of system performance.
  • Expertise in two or more areas such as RF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML algorithm development, model and simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modeling, or RF systems prototyping.
  • Proficiency in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, mathematical, written, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Preferred: demonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts.
  • Preferred: experience with defense-sector radar and RF technologies, including electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, advanced ESM, and radar signal processing.
  • Preferred: experience with machine learning methods and tools such as PyTorch, Ray, TensorFlow/board, and MLflow.
  • Preferred: experience translating mission needs into end-to-end solutions with decision-makers and customers.
  • Preferred: ability to apply novel, innovative, and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems.
