Description

  • Manage a portfolio of programs focused on modeling, simulation, and autonomy development.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of researchers, scientists, and engineers across multiple STR campuses.
  • Build and execute programmatic baselines, including personnel, deliverables, and subcontractor management plans.
  • Track cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics to keep programs on plan.
  • Anticipate risks, resolve resource, security, and contracting issues, and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Support proposal development and ensure adherence to the gated capture process.
  • Create subcontractor statements of work and manage subcontractor execution.
  • Provide regular program briefings to group and division leadership.
  • Work with lead engineers to lead multi-functional teams and maintain a collaborative team environment.
  • Identify and address security classification constraints.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Technical undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in government contracting or research and development.
  • Experience as a Program Manager, Control Account Manager, or Subcontracts Manager on design/development or build contracts.
  • Experience with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) definition, schedule generation, financial analysis/reporting, and resource management.
  • Experience in proposal management, including planning and cost estimation.
  • Experience working within security classification environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Successful experience leading and managing multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience with modeling and simulation, systems engineering, test and evaluation, software architecture, operational analysis, systems autonomy, or communications.
  • Preferred: experience evaluating system capabilities in operational scenarios.
  • Preferred: experience managing Department of Defense projects larger than $5M.
  • Preferred: risk and opportunity management experience.
  • Preferred: experience managing research and development programs.
  • Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Full-time salary range of $147,000 to $200,000.
