Description

  • Own financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, cash flow, budgeting, ad hoc reports, and financial models.
  • Oversee technical accounting activities, including ledgers, tax compliance, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while balancing delegation with hands-on ownership.
  • Monitor cash position and upcoming outflows and coordinate with banking partners.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain internal finance dashboards, automations, web applications, and data pipelines.
  • Partner with the Finance Transformation Manager and Controller to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Serve as the primary accountability owner for the accounting function as it scales.
  • Manage payment release processes and related financial controls.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with technical accounting, including ledgers, close, tax, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a small accounting team.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently build and deploy finance tools, dashboards, or automations using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot Pro; portfolio or code sample required.
  • Experience with US accounting practices and US-based companies.
  • Experience holding payment authority and managing associated controls.
  • Experience working with global, distributed, and culturally diverse teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English with a high degree of autonomy.
  • LatAm-based candidates preferred.
  • Availability to support US Eastern Time working hours.
  • Full-time independent contractor engagement.
