Description

  • Own financial reporting, ledgers, month-end and year-end close, cash flow, budgeting, ad hoc reports, and financial models.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while balancing hands-on ownership with delegation.
  • Oversee accounts payable and payroll operations.
  • Monitor cash positions and upcoming outflows, and coordinate with banking partners.
  • Build and deploy internal finance tools, including dashboards, automations, web applications, and data pipelines.
  • Partner with the Finance Transformation Manager and Controller to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Serve as the primary accountability owner for the accounting function as it scales.
  • Maintain tax-compliance oversight and payment controls.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with technical accounting, including ledgers, close, tax, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Experience managing and developing a small accounting team.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently build and deploy finance tools, dashboards, or automations using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Copilot Pro; portfolio or code sample required.
  • Experience with US accounting practices and US-based companies.
  • Ability to hold release-level payment authority and manage related controls.
  • Experience working with global, distributed, and culturally diverse teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Availability to support US Eastern Time working hours.
  • LATAM-based candidates preferred.
  • Full-time independent contractor availability.
