Description

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of software engineers through regular feedback, one-on-ones, performance management, and career development.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard engineering team members as the organization grows.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical decisions, and direct implementation when needed.
  • Guide engineers in solving complex integration problems and selecting practical, maintainable solutions.
  • Promote engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, security, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to prioritize work, define scope, and establish delivery plans.
  • Balance new integration development with maintenance, customer needs, and technical debt.
  • Identify risks and dependencies, remove blockers, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Encourage responsible use of AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, and code-review tools.
  • Improve team processes and automate repetitive work while maintaining security, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or formally leading software engineers in a first-line leadership role.
  • Hands-on leadership style with continued technical engagement.
  • Strong backend engineering experience in Python, Go, Java, or a comparable language.
  • Experience building, integrating, or operating production software and APIs.
  • Understanding of microservices, distributed applications, or cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to translate product or customer needs into clear, achievable engineering work.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with cybersecurity domains such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, XDR, or security automation is preferred.
  • Experience with integration and cloud technologies, including REST, GraphQL, webhooks, streaming APIs, OAuth, message queues, AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, or Kubernetes, is preferred.

  • Base salary of $200,000–$275,000 per year, varying by location.
