Description

  • Lead, coach, hire, and develop Vendor Integration Engineers, including performance and career management.
  • Own vendor integration delivery from intake and technical discovery through build, testing, go-live, and support transition.
  • Set technical standards for data formats, transport methods, mapping, transformation, error handling, and documentation.
  • Serve as the L3 escalation owner for integration incidents, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and stability planning.
  • Review complex SQL, stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and monitoring and alerting configurations.
  • Partner with client, product, engineering, data, and project teams to translate requirements into technical plans and estimates.
  • Manage team capacity and priorities across onboardings, enhancements, and production support.
  • Lead executive- and vendor-facing communication on integration status, risks, performance, and service levels.
  • Ensure integrations meet HIPAA, security, privacy, governance, and change-management requirements.
  • Drive automation, reusable integration patterns, observability improvements, and operational metrics reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years leading technical teams, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, ETL, or data engineering.
  • 3+ years of relational database experience, preferably SQL Server, with T-SQL and stored procedures.
  • 3+ years of ETL experience, preferably with SQL Server Integration Services; exposure to Apache Airflow is beneficial.
  • 3+ years working with external partners or vendors in a direct client-facing capacity.
  • Experience with AI-assisted workflow acceleration, cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, APIs, and SSO.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehouses, data integration, and web technologies.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Preferred: vendor management or SLA oversight, data modeling, cloud integration, or healthcare/regulated-industry experience; must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.
