Description

  • Own and drive the end-to-end testing strategy for conference and events product experiences, operational workflows, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Define and champion quality standards for functional correctness, customer experience, usability, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Design and execute validation strategies for bookings, attendee registration, room and resource allocation, communications, and operational administration.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering from ideation through delivery to align acceptance criteria, customer journeys, test data, edge cases, non-functional expectations, and quality gates.
  • Build automated checks and test frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end workflow validation.
  • Mentor developers, product managers, and design partners on testing principles, clear acceptance criteria, early validation, fast feedback loops, and observability.
  • Identify product behavior risks, usability gaps, workflow defects, and regression risks proactively.
  • Work effectively in ambiguous situations by designing quality solutions when requirements or quality baselines are not yet defined.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive software engineering or quality engineering experience, with deep focus on quality in complex distributed system environments.
  • Proven track record as an individual contributor with the ability to influence technical direction through pragmatic, evidence-based approaches.
  • Deep hands-on experience with web-based products, including front-end behavior, APIs, service integration, and end-to-end functional testing.
  • Strong experience building test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress from the ground up.
  • Practical experience integrating automated tests and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Buildkite, or similar platforms.
  • Experience defining deployment and release quality gates, including test suite selection and environment readiness checks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis of complex systems.
  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Genuine curiosity about product architecture, user experience flows, customer workflows, analytics use cases, and the business impact of engineering and data decisions.
  • Experience with conference and event workflows, or similar customer-facing SaaS operations, is preferred.
