Description

  • Take ownership of the technical quality and effectiveness of the team’s service within the defined area.
  • Deliver complex features and solutions that require deep technical expertise and sound judgement.
  • Guide technical design and implementation within established architectural frameworks.
  • Identify technical risks, constraints, and trade-offs and address them pragmatically.
  • Support Engineers and Senior Engineers through guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues within the team.
  • Promote good engineering practices through example and influence.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, and platform teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders about technical considerations, risks, and progress.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and shared standards.

Requirements

  • Typically 4–6+ years of commercial software development experience.
  • Advanced experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Framework and/or Core.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design, system design, and common architectural patterns.
  • Experience working with relational databases and designing robust data access approaches.
  • Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Exposure to TypeScript and React is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
  • Experience supporting and improving production systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience operating in a shared codebase with multiple contributors.
  • Ability to guide and influence other engineers through technical expertise and behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Right to work in the country of employment.
