Description

  • Answer and manage inbound and outbound patient calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, including Medicare plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and appointment information.
  • Communicate appointment details, office policies, and preparation instructions to patients.
  • Coordinate with providers and staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, insurance, and general office information.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a U.S.-based healthcare environment as a Medical Receptionist, Patient Coordinator, or similar patient-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification, and eligibility processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with professional phone etiquette and a patient-focused approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in scheduling software, electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems, and general computer applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Preferred experience with Medicare and medical insurance processes.
  • Full-time contractor position (40 hours per week).
  • Pay rate of $7 per hour.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM PST.
