Description

  • Develop production-level code for StackAdapt’s advertising platform and related backend services.
  • Serve as a significant individual contributor on critical projects that deliver customer value.
  • Mentor the team, lead by example, and promote software development best practices.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and technical specification reviews.
  • Advise the team on pragmatic technical approaches and engineering decisions.
  • Architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems aligned to roadmap goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and senior engineers to solve cross-functional technical challenges.
  • Identify bottlenecks and system-wide performance issues and propose actionable solutions.
  • Advise on technical debt reduction in support of business needs.
  • Conduct technical interviews to help identify high-performing candidates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building highly scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with GoLang, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Extensive experience writing code with unit tests and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design to design, implement, and iterate on end-to-end product experiences.
  • Prior experience in ad tech is an asset.
  • Comfort using AI as a tool to help unpack complexity and simplify work where possible.
  • Ability to work remotely from anywhere in North America.
