Description

  • Design, deploy, and operate production Kubernetes clusters across bare metal, private cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Own platform architecture from cluster design through deployment, operations, scaling, and handover.
  • Define reusable Kubernetes reference deployments for client infrastructure teams.
  • Manage CNI networking, CSI integrations, persistent storage, ingress, load balancing, and stateful workloads.
  • Operate etcd, including health monitoring, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Build deployment workflows with Helm, ArgoCD or Flux, and Terraform.
  • Design air-gapped and restricted-network deployments, including private registries, image mirroring, and offline installation.
  • Support Kafka, Flink, Spark, databases, GPU workloads, and their Kubernetes operators.
  • Implement security hardening, RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
  • Plan capacity, upgrades, high availability, business continuity, monitoring, runbooks, and operational readiness; troubleshoot complex production issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Kubernetes Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Strong hands-on experience building and operating production Kubernetes clusters on bare metal or private cloud.
  • Experience with client-owned, on-premises, sovereign, or data-center infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking, CNI, ingress, service networking, and load balancing.
  • Strong experience with CSI, persistent storage, stateful workloads, and technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, and databases.
  • Hands-on experience with etcd operations, Helm, ArgoCD or Flux, and Terraform.
  • Proven experience deploying Kubernetes in air-gapped or highly restricted environments using private registries and offline workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, PKI, certificates, TLS, secrets management, and regulated-environment hardening.
  • Experience with capacity planning, high availability, disaster recovery, scaling, low-disruption upgrades, and GPU scheduling.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, client collaboration, observability, and operational-readiness skills.
