Description

  • Design complex, large-scale systems with attention to scalability and fault tolerance.
  • Develop high-quality software features and mentor teammates on engineering practices.
  • Optimize system performance, resilience, observability, and testability.
  • Write, debug, maintain, and advocate for automated testing strategies.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Integrate AI tools into the development process and establish best practices for their use.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bridge gaps between teams, drive cross-team initiatives, and resolve complex dependencies.
  • Lead technical projects and own critical components, systems, and practices.
  • Create technical documentation for code, systems, and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Expertise creating robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise with modern cloud-native development tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Knative.
  • Experience leading collaborative software design sessions.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Expertise with version control systems.
  • Expertise with RESTful web services.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Expertise using database technologies and patterns.
  • Willingness to learn and evaluate new technologies, including AI tools.
  • Experience working in or acting as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, adaptable, and a strong communicator.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available during standard business hours with occasional nights/weekends.
  • Travel may be required for team events.
