Description

  • Develop software solutions by interpreting acceptance requirements, documentation, and system workflows while following the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead collaborative solution design sessions with the team.
  • Mentor and support fellow engineers through coaching and educational guidance.
  • Partner with the Scrum Team and Product Owner to define clear and complete acceptance criteria.
  • Write unit, acceptance, and integration tests to support high-quality delivery.
  • Make informed technical decisions and own services and applications at scale.
  • Recruit and participate in interviewing to help grow engineering teams.
  • Communicate with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, estimate work, and meet production deadlines.
  • Stay current with software engineering best practices and modern development approaches.
  • Protect company information by maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience writing high-quality and robust software solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience with REST-based web services using JSON-formatted data.
  • Experience developing web applications with Angular or React, HTML, CSS/SASS/SCSS.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using relational databases, ideally MySQL.
  • Experience in server-side development, specifically PHP/Laravel.
  • Third-party API integration experience.
  • Experience with unit, integration, performance, API, and database testing.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and training experience.
  • Strong documentation habits and Agile environment experience.
  • Experience building complex web systems successfully delivered to customers.
  • Ability to design and deliver features iteratively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and provide estimates.
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and deployments.
  • Ability to analyze, select, and implement modern software frameworks.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented development practices, classical design patterns, and data structures.
  • Preferred qualities include being collaborative, intellectually curious, eager to learn new technologies, amiable, highly detail-oriented, and passionate about team improvement.
  • Must be available to work standard business hours and occasional nights/weekends.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Travel to Denver is required about three times per year.
