Description

  • Process medical records requests, including uploading request forms, patient authorization forms, medical record requests, and provider letters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with providers, patients, and internal teams to support medical records management.
  • Assist members with Mental Health Leaves and Accommodations requests and coordinate with providers and third parties as needed.
  • Respond to emails, handle inbound and outbound phone calls, and support patient support tickets.
  • Provide weekly status metrics on new, in-progress, and completed medical records requests.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect the confidentiality of patient PHI.
  • Complete assigned medical records tickets within 24-48 hours of receipt to maintain workflow.
  • Monitor incoming requests across channels and report suspicious medical records release requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with evolving responsibilities.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and context switch.
  • Willingness to work any of the listed shifts: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM EST, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM EST, or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM EST.
  • Flexibility to support occasional shift adjustments based on business needs is preferred.
  • Availability to work 1 weekend per month and at least 4 holidays per year.
  • Temporary contract position with the potential to extend or become permanent full-time based on performance and/or business needs.
