Description

  • Design, scale, build, evaluate, integrate, ship, and refine reward signals for recommendations through hands-on machine learning development.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Personalization to integrate and A/B test mid-term signals in recommendation and discovery systems.
  • Prototype models and build pipelines for personalized generative recommendations.
  • Productize and scale machine learning models for production use at Spotify.
  • Launch and analyze A/B tests for personalization and recommendation initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in ML systems development, testing, and evaluation across the organization.
  • Work with research scientists, data scientists, and engineers to prototype and productize state-of-the-art ML solutions.
  • Contribute to algorithms that optimize for retention, habit formation, and long-term user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Strong background in machine learning with the ability to apply theory to real-world applications.
  • Reinforcement learning expertise, with required experience using RL for recommendations.
  • Experience with statistics and optimization.
  • Experience with sequential models, transformers, and generative AI.
  • Experience with large language models is a plus.
  • Experience with relevant fine-tuning processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with research scientists, data scientists, and engineers across teams.
  • Based in New York, with flexibility for some in-person meetings and work-from-home arrangements.
