Description

  • Build backend systems for feature creation, exploration, serving, and offline backfilling.
  • Own end-to-end flows for ML features, including data storage, availability, and visibility.
  • Develop reliable, performant, and scalable platform components that support ML and online decisioning.
  • Collaborate closely with the ML Training & Serving Platform team to support the ML + Data flywheel.
  • Write clear, well-tested, and extensible code that integrates multiple software components.
  • Navigate a large codebase, debug issues in other engineers' code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
  • Support platform improvements that enhance availability and latency for internal users such as MLEs, analysts, and decisioning teams.
  • Take ownership of personal growth by proactively seeking feedback from managers, teammates, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
  • Proficiency in one of Python or Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to turn simple problems or business scenarios into solutions that span multiple software components.
  • Strong coding practices, including writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging code, and participating in code reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
