Description

  • Use in-house and third-party large language models to solve language understanding problems.
  • Apply techniques such as fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation to improve model performance.
  • Design, build, evaluate, ship, and refine machine learning-powered product features.
  • Drive optimization, testing, and tooling improvements for content enrichment assets.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, backend engineers, researchers, product, data science, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the AI Foundation’s ML community and work within existing platforms and systems.
  • Perform data analysis to establish baselines and inform product decisions.
  • Stay current on machine learning algorithms, techniques, and emerging approaches.

Requirements

  • Strong background in machine learning, especially large language models.
  • Professional experience in applied machine learning.
  • Extensive experience in a product- and data-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Python; experience with Scala, Java, and SQL is also relevant.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or prototyping machine learning systems at scale.
  • Experience architecting data pipelines and obtaining data for model building and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Dataflow, Apache Beam, or Spark.
  • Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other scalable machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with Ray or TFX is a plus.
  • Bonus if you have experience architecting near real-time pipelines.
