Description

  • Playtest quests, systems, and game builds before release.
  • Intentionally stress and break game features, investigate root causes, and propose fixes.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers and designers to resolve issues.
  • Verify fixes and perform regression testing on a live, frequently updated game.
  • Stress-test major releases, events, launches, and updates.
  • Identify recurring player-impacting patterns and communicate them to the broader team.
  • Evaluate gameplay fun and usability with designers.
  • Propose gameplay and design improvements to the design team.

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for RPGs, MMORPGs, indie games, and top-down or pixel-art games.
  • Sharp attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between frustrating and genuinely broken gameplay.
  • Clear, native-level English communication in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to describe issues clearly enough for others to reproduce them.
  • Self-motivated and proactive while working remotely, with the ability to identify testing needs independently.
  • Ability to accept direct feedback and apply it constructively.
  • Availability to commit meaningful hours, including night shifts or weekends.
  • Steam profile demonstrating substantial gaming experience.
  • Bug-reporting experience with any tracker (preferred).
  • Experience with modding, game servers, game development concepts, test cases, or checklists (preferred).
