Description

  • Build performant, secure, tested web applications with strong automation and security practices.
  • Design, enhance, and improve APIs connecting frontend and backend services.
  • Lead critical features through the full development lifecycle based on user feedback, system requirements, and customer needs.
  • Translate design mockups into functional interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, standards, and best practices.
  • Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Own technical problems end to end while contributing as both an individual contributor and technical lead.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible web development experience.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React or Svelte, caching, authentication, and CSP.
  • Backend development experience, including frontend-backend integration and API development.
  • Experience with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgREST, CesiumJS, Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies.
  • Understanding of open architecture constructs such as OMS, UCI, and OCI, and containerized microservices architectures.
  • Ability to work across web design, UX design, and software engineering responsibilities.
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying software in air-gapped or highly secure government environments.
  • Strong communication, self-direction, adaptability, and ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualizations and an active Secret clearance are preferred.
