Description

  • Build performant, secure, tested web applications with emphasis on automation and security.
  • Design and improve APIs connecting frontend and backend services.
  • Lead critical features through the full development lifecycle based on user feedback, system requirements, and customer needs.
  • Create functional user interfaces from design mockups using modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and engineering standards.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Own technical problems end-to-end and contribute to engineering practices as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible web development experience.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React or Svelte, caching, authentication, and CSP.
  • Backend development experience integrating frontend and backend systems, including Python and related technologies.
  • Experience with containerized microservices and open architecture constructs such as OMS, UCI, and OCI.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgREST, or CesiumJS.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and guide other engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, self-directed learning ability, and adaptability when working with end users.
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying software in air-gapped or highly secure government networks.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with intuitive interfaces and real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualization is preferred; active U.S. Secret clearance is a bonus.
