Description

  • Build performant, secure, and tested web applications with an emphasis on automation and security.
  • Design, enhance, and improve APIs connecting frontend and backend services.
  • Lead critical features across the full development lifecycle based on user feedback, system requirements, and customer needs.
  • Create functional user interfaces from design mockups using modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, enforce best practices, and uphold engineering standards.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Own technical problems end-to-end while supporting team practices and project leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible web development experience using modern software development practices.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React or Svelte, caching, authentication, and content security policies.
  • Backend development experience and ability to integrate and troubleshoot frontend and backend systems.
  • Experience with Python and technologies such as FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgREST, CesiumJS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of open architecture constructs such as OMS, UCI, and OCI, and containerized microservices architectures.
  • Ability to work across web design, UX design, and engineering responsibilities.
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying software in air-gapped or highly secure government environments.
  • Strong communication, self-direction, problem-solving, learning, and adaptability skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with real-time 2D/3D geospatial user interfaces and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance are preferred.
