Description

  • Build performant, secure, and tested web applications with strong automation and security practices.
  • Design, enhance, and improve APIs connecting frontend and backend services.
  • Lead critical features through the full development lifecycle based on user feedback, system requirements, and customer needs.
  • Translate design mockups into functional user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, enforce best practices, and uphold engineering standards.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Own technical problems end-to-end and contribute to engineering practices as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible web development experience.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React or Svelte, caching, authentication, and content security policies.
  • Backend development experience and the ability to integrate and troubleshoot frontend and backend services.
  • Experience with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgREST, CesiumJS, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of open architecture constructs such as OMS, UCI, and OCI, plus containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying software in air-gapped or highly secure government environments.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, guide others, and communicate effectively with end users and project leadership.
  • Experience designing intuitive interfaces with real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualizations preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance required; active Secret clearance preferred.
