Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve performance, including faster loading and smarter parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product behavior.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to support the user experience.
  • Design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that improve foundational product experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience building software for product and infrastructure layers in a systems-oriented environment.
  • Strong systems thinking and an ability to design end-to-end solutions with simplicity in mind.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote startup environment with periods of focused independent work.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to include portfolio and LinkedIn links when applying.
