Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce unnecessary scope, and deliver faster customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Help build and maintain the foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a software engineer on product-facing and infrastructure-adjacent systems.
  • Strong systems thinking with an appreciation for end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, remote startup environment with the ability to stay focused and self-directed.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to share portfolio and LinkedIn links when applying.
