Description

  • Design, build, and maintain features across Rails and Go services.
  • Develop responsive, performant user interfaces in React.
  • Build and maintain GraphQL APIs used by web and mobile clients.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to ship high-quality features.
  • Work with relational databases, including performance tuning and indexing considerations.
  • Implement background job processing using Sidekiq.
  • Write and maintain automated tests for production applications.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and external services.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years working in Rails monoliths or Go services for backend development.
  • 2+ years of JavaScript or TypeScript experience.
  • 2+ years of React experience building production web applications.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including database indices and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Sidekiq for background job processing.
  • Experience with automated testing, including Capybara and Playwright.
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
  • Experience with GraphQL is preferred.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Mantine, or Clean Architecture is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of test-driven development, domain-driven development, design patterns, external web APIs, debugging Ruby and JavaScript, and domain modeling/application architecture is preferred.
  • Interest in participating in customer interviews, scoping and prioritization of work, and improving team development practices is a plus.
