Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Implement orchestration and automation for streaming and batch data pipelines.
  • Develop REST and gRPC APIs for unified access to enriched datasets.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Ensure security, performance, reliability, and observability standards across the platform.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions for distributed systems.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentorship within the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java 17+ for backend and data services.
  • Experience with streaming and batch processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, or Airflow.
  • Solid SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP environments.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and API design.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to drive technical discussions and make informed architectural decisions.
  • Enthusiasm for mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Experience working in a flexible schedule with attendance for core team ceremonies is expected.
