Description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and enhance Scala-based REST APIs from technical designs and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and improve functionality.
  • Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Create and execute unit tests to maintain code quality and application reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support application deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
  • Strong experience with Scala, Java, and REST API development; Scala RESTful service experience is mandatory.
  • Experience with JavaScript and modern web application development practices.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and AWS cloud services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and have lived in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience with CMS, federal government, or healthcare systems; NoSQL databases; and Agile development teams.
