Description

  • Own complete program execution for new Starlink consumer hardware products from initial concept through mass production and global sales launch.
  • Drive schedule, cost, and performance targets across all functional teams.
  • Lead prototype development, de-risking activities, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Act as the primary integrator and single point of accountability across electrical, RF, software, mechanical, and compliance teams.
  • Work directly with contract manufacturers to transition prototypes into high-volume production.
  • Establish and maintain clear program visibility through status reporting, issue tracking, and recovery plans.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional blockers quickly.
  • Continuously improve product development and new product introduction processes for consumer electronics hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering/STEM discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience with hardware design/development or electronics test engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, product development, or NPI for consumer electronics, wireless hardware, or similar high-volume products.
  • Demonstrated success taking complex hardware products from concept through mass production and global launch.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to engage deeply with electrical, RF, mechanical, and software engineers.
  • Experience with satellite communication hardware, wireless/RF products, or complex antenna systems.
  • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers in Asia or equivalent high-volume production environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high ownership.
  • Must travel to SpaceX sites in Hawthorne, CA and Redmond, WA as needed.
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship/national status, lawful permanent residency, refugee status, asylee status, or eligibility for required authorizations.
