Description

  • Manage day-to-day project operations as a principal investigator, project director, or task lead.
  • Lead collaborative project teams by developing timelines, coordinating staff assignments, and delivering work on time and within budget.
  • Identify research problems and design studies to answer applied research questions.
  • Develop study designs with aligned research questions, methodologies, and analytic plans.
  • Lead and contribute to research proposals for federal, state, foundation, and other clients.
  • Lead data collection and analysis efforts across research and evaluation projects.
  • Design and plan qualitative and quantitative data collection tools such as interview protocols, focus group guides, and surveys.
  • Supervise field-based data collection activities, including interviews, observations, focus groups, and document reviews.
  • Conduct or oversee data analysis using appropriate tools and techniques for different data types.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, visualizations, and other materials that communicate research findings to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • PhD in a related subject area such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or Public Policy with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Firm understanding of implementation science.
  • Ability to turn big ideas into work plans and timelines.
  • Experience at a contract research and/or evaluation organization.
  • Experience with data collection methodologies such as structured interviews, observations, and survey research.
  • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative analytic software such as STATA, R, Excel, NVivo, and Access.
  • Experience managing project and/or task teams on research and evaluation projects.
  • Experience building and maintaining client and partner relationships.
  • Experience with business pursuit, including grant and proposal writing.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis, and visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Anticipated annual salary range of $126,000 to $154,000 USD.
