Description

  • Design software and workflows that improve mission-critical analysis throughput.
  • Build infrastructure to support thermal and fluid systems analysis.
  • Automate analysis workflows to speed up mission and design iteration.
  • Support simulation and validation using test and flight data.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve spacecraft system reliability and performance.
  • Write clean, scalable code and maintain strong documentation.
  • Develop software tools that support analysis and improve design processes.
  • Deploy new software and workflows to the analysis and engineering community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience coding in Python, JavaScript, and/or Rust, including internship or academic experience.
  • Familiarity with thermal or fluid systems in spacecraft or aerospace applications (preferred).
  • Strong background in Python and data processing (preferred).
  • Experience automating engineering workflows or simulations (preferred).
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, C/C++, Git, Thermal Desktop, ANSYS Workbench, or Siemens STAR-CCM+ (preferred).
  • Understanding of thermal/fluid networks, including 0-D or 1-D modeling (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (preferred).
  • Interest in making engineering tools easier to use and more scalable (preferred).
  • Familiarity with high performance computing (preferred).
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.
