Description

Develop and maintain SmithRx product features across backend and frontend codebases using Golang, GraphQL, SQL, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, and Java.
Architect and implement deterministic software guardrails around LLMs to manage, validate, and encapsulate AI output for healthcare data use cases.
Design and build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and stateful orchestration logic for multi-step agentic workflows.
Collaborate with technical leads to translate functional and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
Apply software development best practices, design patterns, and modern tools across projects.
Expand platform capabilities using GraphQL, React, and GORM.
Use AWS technologies such as Lambda and Fargate to support production-scale job processing and batch workloads.
Ensure code is thoroughly tested end-to-end, maintains high code coverage, and is fully documented.
Troubleshoot production issues through triage, impact assessment, mitigation, and root cause analysis.
Participate in code reviews and help foster a collaborative culture of learning and AI innovation.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science with 1 year of experience, or an MS in Computer Science.
Experience with a compiled language such as Go, Java, C#, or C++, with Go experience as a strong plus.
Solid understanding of ML/AI concepts, relevant coursework, and the limitations and pitfalls of AI.
Experience using GenAI tools to build AI-native, production-ready software is a plus.
Ability to write effective queries in relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including basic schema design.
Familiarity or hands-on experience with Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI, and basic prompt engineering evals.
Solid grasp of designing and implementing scalable APIs, with understanding of design patterns and testing best practices.
Basic understanding of GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
A positive, non-dogmatic, team-first attitude and flexibility to navigate ambiguity.
Participation in coding competitions or fully released independent projects is a plus, and AI-related internship experience is also a plus.
