Description

  • Evaluate and develop safe ropes access solutions in new and changing environments.
  • Manage communication, equipment integrity, and process guidelines for safe ropes access operations.
  • Set up ropes access systems and climb in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Haul team members and equipment using different ropes access configurations.
  • Operate within and enforce SPRAT and IRATA guidelines.
  • Train team members on the proper use of ropes access solutions.
  • Develop rigging for large assemblies and work at heights on temporary or permanent access solutions.
  • Operate personnel platforms such as boom lifts and scissor lifts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop work access solutions and support heavy transport or crane operations when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of experience on a critical lift team or a logistics/transport team.
  • IRATA or SPRAT Ropes Access Level 3 certification preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, oil and gas, or another high-reliability operating environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices, as well as mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate machinery and various hand and power tools with manual dexterity preferred.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt quickly to changing responsibilities in a high-paced environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted, travel up to 25%, work all shifts/overtime/weekends as needed, and work at heights up to 500 ft, in confined spaces, and in temperatures over 80 degrees.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, use an air purifying respirator, and complete any required pre-employment questionnaire and/or physical examination.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.
