Description

  • Develop and qualify manufacturing processes for avionics production.
  • Build, simplify, optimize, accelerate, and automate production processes.
  • Own the production line across process consistency, quality, tooling, capital equipment, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Create and maintain production work instructions, training documents, and maintenance plans.
  • Lead the introduction and implementation of new products and product revisions.
  • Interface with vendors, supply chain, and internal teams for new product and change introduction.
  • Partner with production teams to ensure on-time delivery of flight-ready hardware.
  • Investigate failures, document findings, and drive corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; internships may be included.
  • Advanced knowledge of physical sensors and how they are operated, designed, and manufactured is preferred.
  • Experience with instrumentation and electronics packaging for harsh environments is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with specialized processes such as wire bonding, laser welding, epoxy dispense, or soldering is preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Minitab is preferred.
  • Ability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to stand for long durations and work directly with hardware on the floor; occasional travel, long hours, or weekend work may be required.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.

  • Base salary range of $100,000 to $117,500 for Level 1 and $115,000 to $140,000 for Level 2.
