Description

  • Build, assemble, and test avionics hardware, including instrumentation, actuators, wire harnesses, sensors, and engine control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform root-cause analysis on electrical and electronic systems, then recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute test procedures, document results, and maintain detailed build and inspection records in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform precision assembly of high-tolerance electro-mechanical components and sub-systems.
  • Ensure builds comply with aerospace and defense standards, including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and MIL-STD requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability, assembly processes, and design validation.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment following ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience assembling and testing avionics or electronic hardware.
  • Working knowledge of digital and analog circuits, sensors, and control systems.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting electrical systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and similar diagnostic tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with electrical builds, wire harnessing, and soldering to aerospace standards.
  • Experience working with high-precision and tight-tolerance assemblies.
  • Current or prior J-STD-001 certification, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with IC circuits, PCB design, and electrical schematic interpretation is preferred.
  • Experience meeting J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 industry standards is preferred.
  • Experience designing, fabricating, and using test fixtures and custom test setups is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and actuated systems is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace or defense sector, with exposure to quality and documentation systems such as AS9100, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools and power tools for assembly and testing is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management and revision control is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person, including U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
