Description

  • Design, deploy, and expand IT infrastructure including networking, server, and desktop hardware supporting mission-critical networks.
  • Provide direct IT support during launch and test campaigns.
  • Perform periodic systems upgrades and maintenance between critical operations, including weekends and evenings when needed.
  • Monitor IT services proactively and respond rapidly to incidents to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues in systems deployments.
  • Author and maintain IT documentation, including system overviews, design drawings, and operational procedures.
  • Use automation tools and contribute to infrastructure-as-code and broader IT systems engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure systems remain compliant with industry and cybersecurity standards such as ITAR, ISO, and NIST.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration.
  • Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows server administration.
  • Significant experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.
  • Working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, and PTP.
  • Experience with firewall administration and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python, and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and multi-platform authentication/identity environments.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and tools.
  • Ability to administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems through the command line.
  • Ability to set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot Windows-based systems and services.
  • Experience supporting real-time systems, industrial control networks, or OT environments in aerospace, defense, energy, or similar high-reliability industries.
  • Experience with configuration management, provisioning, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with internal and external customers, vendors, and management.
  • Ability to pass a DoD background check for launch site access.
  • Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and work extended hours or weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, including to other sites worldwide and potentially time at sea supporting marine systems.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Active valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. State Department authorizations under ITAR.

  • $95,000 to $115,000 per year base salary.
