Description

  • Design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for satellite communication products.
  • Own the electrical system design, implementation, and verification for customer-facing hardware devices.
  • Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test.
  • Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
  • Work closely with software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, production test, supply chain, and silicon teams to deliver integrated hardware.
  • Develop tools to analyze on-orbit and lab data and use them to improve designs.
  • Design and help evaluate next-generation gateways that can operate in harsh environmental conditions.
  • Challenge assumptions and simplify complex technical problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of professional experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar engineering degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience rapidly designing and delivering highly reliable products preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience designing hardware from concept through production, with emphasis on full life cycle development of new hardware products preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards using processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz SerDes, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), I2C, SPI, operational amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, and power supply components preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computers and programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
