Description

  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and repair Starlink ground hardware as part of a team of engineers and specialists.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to resolve hardware issues affecting Starlink user service.
  • Diagnose failures in fiber optic circuits and perform repairs to restore full system operation.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with onsite commercial network and routing hardware.
  • Improve existing training documentation and create new documentation to support continuous team development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician in an engineering field such as telecom or an internet service provider.
  • Strong knowledge of standard computer tools, including MS Office, Visio, and web applications.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation.
  • Experience in cell tower or site construction or maintenance (preferred).
  • Experience with low Earth orbit tracking antennas, stabilizers, or VSAT antennas (preferred).
  • Experience working with fiber optics, network and telephony installation, AV installation, or troubleshooting and repair using fiber optic test equipment such as OTDR, OLS, OPM, and VFL (preferred).
  • Experience constructing IT/network racks, including UPS, PDUs, cable management, servers, and network devices (preferred).
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time to U.S. or international gateway sites.
  • Ability to distinguish between different colors and perform fine motor tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding positions and environments.
  • Eligibility to work under U.S. export control regulations (ITAR).
  • Fluency in languages other than English is preferred.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $34.00–$40.00 for Level 1, $38.00–$45.00 for Level 2, and $42.00–$51.00 for Level 3.
