Description

  • Own the material compliance strategy and execution for all Starlink hardware, including Full Material Declarations, BOM analysis, and supply chain data management.
  • Lead RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop 65, and other global environmental compliance programs.
  • Manage material data systems and drive supplier data collection and validation.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new components and materials and provide compliance guidance to design, sourcing, and other teams.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and regulatory files for global environmental compliance.
  • Track emerging regulations and translate them into actionable requirements for Starlink hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering, materials science, environmental science, chemistry, or another STEM discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in materials and environmental compliance for high-volume consumer electronics, industrial equipment, or information technology equipment; internship experience is applicable.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in materials and environmental compliance for high-volume electronics is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and Full Material Declaration processes.
  • Hands-on experience with material data management systems and supplier data collection at scale.
  • Strong understanding of global environmental regulations across the EU, US, UK, China, and other regions.
  • Experience performing compliance risk assessments on complex BOMs.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams such as Design, NPI, Sourcing, and Manufacturing without direct authority.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
